      The goal The aim of the course is to acquire systematic knowledge about the history, culture and political situation in Slovakia, their influence on language and literature, and with the aim of understanding cultural and social phenomena in a broader context.
      The outcome The student will gain insight into the most representative works of Slovak cultural and artistic heritage, as well as an overview of contemporary cultural and artistic developments in Slovakia.
      Contents
      Contents of lectures Geographical and historical characteristics. History of Slovakia. Ethnology and culture of the Slovak people. Periodization of art history and characteristics of individual types of fine arts - architecture, painting and sculpture. Conversation, discussions on the topic of Slovak history, culture and art.
