    The goal Achieving basic-level proficiency in the Japanese language. Basic literacy.
    The outcome The student masters two phonetic scripts, approximately 600 words and expressions, phrases, and basic rules of communication in the Japanese language.
    Contents
    Contents of lectures The instruction includes a theoretical introduction to the development of literacy in the Japanese language, grammatical components, vocabulary and its specific features, and the fundamentals of sociolinguistically appropriate usage.
    Contents of exercises Developing all language skills: reading, writing, speaking, listening, and interaction. Developing awareness of the learning process and participating in it independently by setting goals and tracking the steps taken to achieve them.
