      The goal Development of an understanding of the type and nature of communicative activities and strategies in a (foreign) language; development of metacognitive linguistic awareness aimed at a theoretically grounded and creative understanding and use of (foreign) language knowledge and skills; enhancement of the foreign language learning process and development of knowledge that can later be applied in foreign language teaching.
      The outcome Students are introduced to different oral and written communicative activities and strategies used in communication in a (foreign) language. Through the analysis and evaluation of the communicative process, students enhance their own foreign language learning in private, public, and academic domains, developing the ability to adapt their communication to different contexts and the specific requirements of communicative situations. Learner autonomy and critical language awareness are fostered.
