| The goal | Introduction to the research approaches, as well as the basic methods and procedures used in conducting scientific and professional investigation in the field of language teaching. In this way, students develop the ability to independently and collaboratively examine phenomena and processes in foreign language teaching. In addition, they develop a critical apparatus for evaluating the quality of available research and the applicability of its findings in the field of foreign language teaching. The activities included in the course prepare students to carry out research for their final independent project. | |||
| The outcome | General learning outcomes: increased level of professional competence; students' ability to think professionally and critically, to identify, examine, and investigate phenomena and processes within the field of language teaching. Improved level of academic and digital competence, as well as the ability to work in teams. Specific learning outcomes: students are able to recognize, define, and critically analyze the research methods used in the field of glottodidactics. They can identify the different stages of the research process and arrive at methodologically sound and creative solutions for examining phenomena and processes in foreign language teaching. Students are able to carry out a small-scale research project with the support of a mentor. | |||
