| The goal | Development of theoretical and practical knowledge about the key elements of the foreign language teaching and learning process and about lesson methodology, as well as the development of pedagogical and methodological-didactic competences necessary for teaching Spanish as a foreign language. | |||
| The outcome | General competences: improved ability for analysis, synthesis, and evaluation in academic and professional work; metalinguisticos awareness; appropriate oral and written communication; awareness and understanding of diversity across different languages; ability to apply knowledge in practice; linguistic creativity. | Contents of lectures | Introduction, analysis, and evaluation of different elements of the teaching process: needs analysis of learners; development of a teaching plan and syllabus with all its components (identification of goals and learning outcomes, planning of instruction, design, implementation, and evaluation of teaching activities, selection of teaching materials, evaluation of the learning and teaching process); preparation of a lesson as a coherent unit aligned with the teaching plan and syllabus. | |||
